Something Original

Today it was 105 degrees here in Arizona! So what better to do than a spontaneous photo shoot and smoothie run? So I pulled on my flap butt pocket jeans and a super thin white shirt. It took me more than a little minute to make a decision on which pieces of my new AlliOriginal jewelry I would debut...but I did make a decision and was out the door with my man (my personal photographer :) and my pup (some good company!).

Today I chose to accessorize with my two absolute favorite pieces that you will see in the pictures below. The beautiful stone necklace is named Nikki and it's my favorite because of the vibrant color and uniqueness of the stone placement. And the sweet bracelet I'm wearing is named Mary Ellen and it is two intertwined chains with faux pearls attached. They are both great 'stand out' pieces that will add something special to any outfit {and an extra plus is that all allioriginal items are very inexpensive!}.

Heel Heaven

Once I think of the perfect touch to complete an outfit I can't stop thinking about it until I get it in my hands.... or in this case...on my feet. Right now I have three different types of heels that I NEED for this summer season to complete some of my planned fantasy outfits that I want to come to life.

Nude Pumps! I am loving NUDE everything for the summer. I actually just bought a cute nude bag today. You can wear them with everything but I imagine some beautiful nude pumps with a dark brown or light pinkish dress. Ohhh maybe even coral. Make it casual with a white sun dress or even dress it up with a saucy black dress. They will work with so many things! I have to find the perfect pair for my collection! Once again I'm on the hunt.

I want some true blue pumps. I saw an amazing outift recently that jumped out at me. It was a black pencil skirt with a stylish white beaded shirt and blue pumps. So now I am obsessed with black and white with blue! Here are some hot Joan&david pumps I found on piperlime.com.

Wedges!!! This season I want to wear florals every day! Floral flowy shirts, dresses, scarves, bags, etc! And the best compliment you can give to an outfit full of florals? Wedges!

Springy Treat!

How adorable is Selena Gomez?! She always looks so cute and fresh. Here at the Kids Choice Awards we love her springy dress and here gladiator heels more! Definitely the taste treat outfit of the day!

Movin' on Up!

I am a flip flop girl. I grew up in Texas and pretty much lived in flip flops. It was so weird when I moved to Rexburg and flip flops were not allowed. My feet felt clostrophobic! I love that flip flops are so cheap and they don't take up very much room in my closet. I have a pair in every color!


So the last couple of summers I have noticed a shift in summer foot wear. A lot of cute sandals have been coming out... maybe its because I am getting older but I have had a craving to be wearing better quality foot wear. I have been on the hunt for a replacement to my old friends, the flip flops. I just like the way that sandals make your outfit look more put together and less sloppy.

We were looking for some inspiration so I asked Mr. Joe Zee from 'THE CITY' ,who is also the creative director of ELLE magazine, what trends he was predicting for the summer. We were so stoked when he actually wrote back!!! Twitter is a great invention. There is no other way someone could get professional fashion advice from the top of the fashion food chain in just a couple of minutes. Just sayin'.

So we were already surprised to see his response and then we got even more excited because here was his answer:

'for summer i am loving pleated shorts rolled up, gladiator sandals, simple accessories and baggy boyfriend tee's and tanks' (wording something very close to that)

The reason we loved that answer is because that is exactly what we ordered for our Sassy Pose spring/summer collection!!! Oh we are so on top of it ;) So, look forward to our long shorts, simple accessories, boyfriend tees, and gladiator sandals! All of our new stuff launches next week!
