I am thinking of doing this...

to my hair. Color and cut. I need some oomph! I've tried a short cut, dark dye, streaks of hilights and lowlights, extensions....everything! And I still get bored of my hair so easily. My only concern is that I will be disappointed when I am sitting in that salon chair and they spin me around to see the final product and my face hasn't magically changed to look exactly like Reese Witherspoons. And by that I mean what if I don't have the face shape, coloring etc to pull it off? Any professional advice?

Bach-ette: It's getting serious

It's really getting down to the wire in the Bachelorette! I am pretty happy with the guys that are left. Ever since I found out that Roberto wasn't the one that secretly had a girlfriend {I thought he did from the beginning based on the previews of that episode} he has become my favorite.

On Ali and Roberto's date this week in Portugal I thought they were so cute together. I mean, how romantic is dancing in the overly crowded street in the middle of the day in a foreign country? Roberto melts her heart.

The worst idea in the history of the Bachelor/Bachelorette is 2 on 1 dates. That is just the most awkward thing ever. I even feel uncomfortable just watching it! What are you supposed to do...just talk to Ali like no one else is there and hope she does the same thing back? I'm so glad there can't be any more of those since next week are hometown dates.

I definitely think that it was a good decision to send Ty home this week. He straight up said that one of the reasons for the divorce with his wife was because of their views on women working or being in the home. He is old fashioned and doesn't think a wife should work. And she is famous for leaving the Bachelor last season to go back to work!! I mean really Ty...can't be surprised.

My favorite part of this whole episode was Ali's rose ceremony outfit. I loved it! She has such a different and confident style. It was adorable paired with the stand-out cocktail ring. Last night she wore this Alice&Olivia dress

***Let me know your thoughts on the episode. Also, when I signed into this blog this morning I checked all the comments on my previous post and thought I published them but now they are not showing up under the post. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen or how to fix it? Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday style!

Good evening everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic patriotic weekend. I had a fabulous 4th of July weekend! It was everything I hoped for and more. This is a pretty good representation of how I felt the whole time...

{in case you can't tell...this should represent bliss ;)}

I did pretty well on my holiday goals that I mentioned in the previous post. I worked on my look....put together new outfits, played with my makeup, and changed hairstyles for each event! I definitely improved my footwear. I never just slipped on cheap flip flops...I planned my outfits around my Sassy Pose sandals {only $11.99} and my Sassy Pose black flats {only $11.99} !

My goals with food moderation is a whole different story... :)

My husband C and I at some of the main events of the weekend....

Had to show off the SP sandals {pic on left} Seeing Eclipse {Pic on right}

Went very casual for the AZ DiamondBacks game.

All laughs at the Comedy Club. {doesn't my cute husb have great style?}

Red, White and Blue Weekend!

Fun Family in town. A much needed pedicure adding a summery color to my toesies. An MLB game and ballpark hotdogs. A double date to see The next Twilight installment: Eclipse. BBQ: Steak, Brisket and Chips. Comedy Club with our relative as the headliner. And fourth of July fireworks.

Is there anything better than the 4th of July weekend?

The only thing that could make this better would be new outfits for each event! I hate taking pictures wearing the same thing that I am wearing in every other picture. Does anyone else ever think about that on holiday weekends?

My 2 girly goals:

1. I am determined to change up my look! I have my new Sassy Pose summery sandals to wear to the game tonight and I will build my outfit around them!

2. Holidays always include a lot of food. I am not willing to miss out on any of it. So my goal this weekend is moderation. 1 brisket sandwich...1 hot dog...1 slice of fruit pizza...etc.

Happy Independence Day everyone! Can't wait to see everyone's pictures!

Summer Legs

One unpleasant thing about summer time is the fact that us girls have to have summer smooth legs all the time. Unlike the forgiving winter months when our legs are constantly hiding under pants, boots, and layers of socks and we can get away with spacing out our shaving days. One lil factoid you may not know about me is that I only like to use disposable razors. I don't like changing just the razor heads because I feel like the handles get dirty. It's just one of those things.

So the other day I was going to shower then lay out at the pool. I found my disposible razor box empty! Gasp! But my husb has had a men's razor sitting in our bathroom forever... and since he doesn't even use razors I thought "perfect!" So I used it...got an awesome shave...and laid out in the Arizona sun until I was almost melted into a puddle.

Point being...I realized I got a better shave using the men's razor than I ever had with my stupid regular women's razors. So...I have converted. Today I bought a package of the most trustworthy looking men's disposible razors. Between using those and my Jergen's natural glow lotion I can make my legs happy for summer!

Another Epi

Not much to share about Bach-ette this week. I've been reading that all of Ali's interviews lead us to believe that she doesn't pick anyone in the end. So that's buggin me. I am obvs still going to watch it though.

I love how dramatic they make the departures when someone doesn't get a rose. Like how they left Kasey chillin in the middle of nowhere in Iceland and took off in a helicopter. I didn't even feel bad for him...it was his time. After this I never want to hear the word "heart" again. I think he set a record for the amount of times using that word in a one hour episode on TV.

Thank goodness Chris N. was the one to not get a rose at the ceremony this week. I didn't even know who that guy was! It NEVER showed him this whole time and then this week they decide to show him and Ali have 1 minute of one-on-one time together. And it was SO awkward. He definitely flew under the radar the whole time.

It's getting down to the real competition now. The game it on!

{p.s. I think she looks gorgeous in this picture.}

Something Original

Today it was 105 degrees here in Arizona! So what better to do than a spontaneous photo shoot and smoothie run? So I pulled on my flap butt pocket jeans and a super thin white shirt. It took me more than a little minute to make a decision on which pieces of my new AlliOriginal jewelry I would debut...but I did make a decision and was out the door with my man (my personal photographer :) and my pup (some good company!).

AlliOriginal is brand new and has some of the cutest, most original jewelry! Allison makes each and every item herself. You can purchase her jewelry pieces on etsy by clicking HERE and you can check out her new crafty blog by clicking HERE.

Today I chose to accessorize with my two absolute favorite pieces that you will see in the pictures below. The beautiful stone necklace is named Nikki and it's my favorite because of the vibrant color and uniqueness of the stone placement. And the sweet bracelet I'm wearing is named Mary Ellen and it is two intertwined chains with faux pearls attached. They are both great 'stand out' pieces that will add something special to any outfit {and an extra plus is that all allioriginal items are very inexpensive!}.

{meet my baby boy}

Allioriginal Nikki Necklace $12.50

Allioriginal Mary Ellen Bracelet $8.00
